pumpkin patches make perfect pictures

October is just the best month!

Perfect weather
Pumpkin patches
Pumpkin bread, cookies, drinks, ice cream...oh la la
sweatshirts
hot chocolate
holiday parties
egg nog
fuzzy socks
hats and scarves
skinny jeans and boots
colored trees
jumping in the leaves

We like going to this pumpkin patch in Jefferson City.
It's got a little bit of everything and the kids just have a blast!

Corn box, hay rides, barn yard animals, hay bale maze, sunflowers, corn stalks, wagon rides, pumpkin patch...

The kids were totally entertained with this little set up in front of the Hyvee grocery store!  We stayed for an hour and Bree and I loved watching the kids play in the corn box, walk through the tiny maze, climb the hay bales, play in the water with the duck slide, accessorize with odd shaped ghords and climb the tower of hay!  The backdrops made for the perfect photo op!

This girl loves water.  And I should have seen it coming, but for some reason didn't have my mommy radar on.  But yes, if you can't guess, she turned the faucet and drenched herself!  Luckily it was at the very end of our play time.
Lovely thing is I still needed to run into the grocery
store to grab a few things.
Kam quickly felt the sting of her decision as the cool breeze made her saturated shirt even more cold.  Luckily she had her jacket in the car and I ripped her shirt off and made her jacket her new shirt.  She thought it was pretty cool she could wear that as a shirt ;)

I had Bree in the stroller most of the time because I figured she'd hate the dry, pokey hay due to her past experience with grass in which she frantically sobbed and tried to escape the earths floor!

But I just HAD to get some cute pics so I put her on the bale and low and behold, she didn't make a peep.
She actually liked it and started picking at it
and playing with the hay.
who knew

These pictures actually depict our life!
Chaotic and crazy :)
Tear stained and unwilling.
But I like to get the fake poses where they smile and act like life is perfect!  lol.

Looks fun! You do lots of fun stuff with your kids. Your photography is great too. Heather is doing an on-line photography class if you're interested.
