Tan the man

Tanner Landon
7 years old
(almost 8 and soon to be baptized!)

Kam Kam

Kambrie Summer
2 1/2 years old

pripress warrior

I bought this big boucy ruffled pink dress on clearance for half off. It's a 4T that I was going to save as an Easter dress for next year.
Kambrie found it in her closet though, and came out bubbling with excitement at her new "pripress princess dress!"
Kambrie is in love with
PRINCESSES.
She's just blossoming into all the girly stuff now, and I love it!

She also has her brother's love for pirates too. She's totally diverse.  She can be rotten and scurvy but at the stroke of midnight transform into a princess!

She has another blue Cinderella dress I bought awhile ago that she is totally interested in now too! All this frilly stuff made made me remember she also had some tu-tu's from when she was a baby. I pulled those out and of course they have been added to her wardrobe.  We found a few other holiday skirts that I got on clearance that fit the bill perfectly for Kambrie's new dress up obsession.

Here she is finding the dress and throwing it with excitement like it's confetti!

VOILA.
A perfect, pretty, princess!

She eats, drinks, and sleeps in her dresses.

Another day, another dress up!

Look at that form!
I see a promising future in this budding ballerina.

Here we go again...

I love these two pictures.
This captures her authenticity.
She transforms into another world when she dresses up.  She'll glide and twirl and sing at the top of her off pitched screetching voice, and it is simply the most adorable precious thing you'll ever see.

She feels like a princess.
She acts like a princess.
She totally is OUR princess!

And here is our ninja warrior joining in on the action.
Tanner still loves to dress up in anything and everything.  Pirate, ninja, skeleton, a combination of all of these, cowboy, batman...his imagination never fails to keep him entertained!

Pretty cute combo :)

Big girl status

Kambrie is finally potty trained.
Can I get a WOOT WOOT!
It's been over a week now and she goes "pee pee on the potty!"  She's such a big girl.  We still put her in a pull up at nap time and bed time because she's still been wet on occassion.
It's a great step though.  We're so proud, and she's so proud of herself!  It's cute.  I do a little potty dance to encourage her and she has grown accustomed to it.  She tells me to "stand up and do dis (this)" and then points her pointy fingers up in the sky and shakes her hands, immitating my dance.  It's so cute, then I dance for her and we celebrate.
She has gone poop on the toilet for almost a year now, and finally pee.
Oh the joys of 2 year olds.
Oh how fun to talk about poop and pee!!
